Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Backgrounds

Atomhawk were approached by Microsoft with an ambitious brief of re-drawing and bringing consistency to the existing in-game cinematic artwork in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. Campaign backgrounds are part of the game which preface the stories between missions. The dressings contribute not only the mood and theme of each campaign, but are historically accurate to the time and place to immerse the player into the flow of the game.
